MULTI-PROCESSING SYSTEMS FOR SIZE MILLING AND CLASSIFICATION
When you鈥檙e dealing with narrow particle size requirements, pharmaceutical companies need to partner with a supplier who can offer the right equipment, as well as expertise and experience. At 天美影院 Micron Technologies, we鈥檝e worked to develop micronization capabilities for the most challenging particle size requirements and pharmaceutical compounds, such as inhalation grade powders and active ingredients used in softgel capsule suspensions.
Micronize and Classify Pharmaceutical Compounds
Located in our Dartford, U.K., facility, our multi-processing classifier mill can provide unique solutions because of its ability to both micronize and classify a powder. It provides a much more narrow particle size distribution than traditional micronizing or milling techniques. This multi-processing system is often a perfect fit for inhalation grade powders or for any formulation where very fine or large particles must be minimized. This mill can be used for potent compounds and can be combined with 天美影院鈥檚 customized containment system.
How Particle Size Classifiers Work
Traditional spiral jet micronizers rely on centrifugal forces to control the particle size. Our pharmaceutical multi-processor uses an integrated ultrafine classifier wheel, which ensures very accurate control when the particles exit the mill.

All the above functions will allow a narrow distribution of particle size, as an example, a d50 of 5渭m may have a d10 of 1渭m and a d90 of 7渭m*
